ITS ALMOST THAT TIME! - 2019 BEEF EXPO COMING UP

This is an exciting and busy time for consigners getting ready for the 2019 Beef Expo in Louisville, Kentucky and by the sound of things, you are anxious to see this years catalog! (For more information on the Beef Expo, please check out the Events page under Membership at the top of this page) This year we decided to do a complete redesign of the catalog to better serve you! Over the years we have figured out what works and what doesn’t and this year we took action. Our main goal was to have a catalog that was more user friendly and inviting. One major change is giving consigners, buyers and spectators more space to take notes on each animal and the ability to easily follow along during the SHOW and the SALE and write down the results. I believe this ability to “interact” with Beefalo events through the catalog will increase interest in the breed and promote additional sales in the future. I will provide catalogs to spectators viewing the Show in stands at the event in hopes to promote more interaction and attendance at the SALE.

I know you all are just as excited as I am to have the Catalog officially published - I am waiting for the official release from the publisher. Once I receive it - I will publish it!

We have also implemented a few other adaptions to the Show & Sale process that will help streamline the event and the infamous “final day paperwork” for everyone. Please stop by the new and improved ABA booth for more information - I think you will be pleasantly surprised!

Don’t forget FRIDAY, MARCH 1 @ 6:30PM we will be having our annual ABA dinner and Board of Directions Election for 2019. We have added a raffle giveaway so don’t forget to purchase your dinner tickets!

Mark and Linda Merrill's Beefalo Steaks Take Reserve Champion in Best Steak Competition.....Again

It’s amazing to see the consistency in steaks produced year after year by Beefalo Northwest Members Mark and Linda Merrill. In the past 5 years they have won two Grand Championships and two Reserve Championships in Kansas City’s American Royal Steak Contest. Finishing in one of the top two positions in the Grass-fed Category is truly something to be proud of especially since the entries in the overall contest now represent over 40 beef producers.
